If you have been in business for some time now, you have most likely heard about the importance of being unique and being different. Yet, it’s more difficult than ever before to find businesses that stand out and are actually different. I will be brave and say that we live in a time when no matter how hard you work at being unique, there will be plenty of copy cats who shamelessly steal your idea or message.
Sadly, this is not only true about businesses, but also about job applicants, managers, employees etc… this pandemic is so widely spread that it reaches every area of society and even crosses borders.
Why in the world should you try to be different if everybody else is trying to fit in? Here are just a couple of reasons…
1. Being yourself brings freedom to your life.
Identifying who you are and what your core strengths are will allow you to stick to what’s natural to you. If your natural way is to research the information and prove every point, you can become a voice in the industry, an expert in your niche or area of expertise. If you don’t care about research, you might enjoy putting things into perspective and creating systems to simplify your clients’ lives.
Building your business or career around someone else’s strengths will bring stress and a lack of authenticity to your life. On the other hand, once you design it around your own strengths, it will become much easier to fulfil your promises, create the results and do your work on a daily business.
2. Getting out of the box sets you apart
Every industry has its own box. There’s a certain way it’s been done and is supposed to be run. Many choose to go with the flow and box themselves within the industries’ standard. This is completely fine as long as the standard is what comes naturally to you.
But what if you are different? What if the way you create results is different from what everyone else is doing? I strongly believe that you need to get out of the box and set up your business or career in a way that’s natural to you, your personality, your beliefs and your strengths.
3. Being yourself helps you boost your results
When you are free to be yourself, you are able to create better results faster. Being yourself boosts your creativity, lowers stress in your life and enables you to enjoy the business or career you have. When your work is your joy, people will notice and stick around to get some of this energy for themselves. Don’t ever be afraid to be yourself! This is the only way to move toward the business/career and life you want.
Being true to yourself is the only way to building a #success you desire. Click To TweetNow that you know the benefits of being yourself, how do you actually discover your strengths? I’ll be looking forward to answering this question in my next article. Stay tuned!
